This spring, it's time to find out what bakery can claim Nata Fame and be crowned as the maker of the best Pasteis de Nata in the land (well, the South Coast.)

We need YOU to help us decide!

Voting Opens April 15

The cities and towns across the entire Southcoast are bound together like family, and like any family, there’s bound to be a little rivalry. The whole region shares a massive Portuguese culture, with roots stretching from the mainland and the Azores to Madeira and Cape Verde. Because of that shared heritage, every corner of the Southcoast is home to a bevy of bakeries that serve up some tasty Portuguese custard tarts, all competing for the title of the region's best.

How to participate

  1. Eat natas at as many bakeries as you can

  2. Vote for your favorite online

  3. Watch the winner be awarded at Whaleboats, Water, and Winners: A Festa by The Sea
